The Service Delivery Manager is be responsible for the overall management of services provided to managed services clients.
The main focus areas will be customer satisfaction, meeting or exceeding agreed-upon service levels and creating business value. The Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the client relationship. This role will also be involved in pre-sales activities around solutions design and technical project planning.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage delivery activities including application maintenance, enhancement, and upgrades
- Manage delivery of services to contractual requirements
- Manage project schedule/milestones, scope, resources, priorities, issues, risks, internal and external dependencies
- Apply principles, methodologies, processes and best practices which are in line with industry best practices
- Document, assign and monitor all project issues to ensure resolution with minimal impact to project activities
- Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to team members and assist them in completing their delivery efforts
- Track and monitor the overall status of projects, and facilitate meetings and reporting on project progress
- Managing the planning of services, delivery management, and financial/operation reporting
- Manage client interactions, meetings, issues, escalations
- Manage Client and Member satisfaction
Required Work Experience:
- 5+ years of senior level exposure to people management and project management
- Operations experience with demonstrated abilities in application maintenance
- Experience leading medium to large projects in an outsourcing environment
- Performance management experience delivering to Service Level Agreements in a complex IT environment
- Experience managing mission critical systems in a 24/7 environment
- Experience in providing delivery oversight and motivational leadership for development and support teams
- Experience in implementation and improvement of IT processes
- Ability to develop, monitor, validate, adjust or apply standards, procedures and policies
Required Level of Education:
- University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a technical services field
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communications (verbal and written) and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong leadership and planning skills
- Experience and capability in managing staff and teams
